Temporary Protected Status for Venezuela, Burma, Somalia, and Haiti

Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a temporary status given to eligible nationals of designated countries who are present in the United States. The status, afforded to nationals from some countries affected by armed conflict or natural disaster, allows persons to live and work in the United States for limited times.

On March 9, 2021, May 22, 2021, May 25, 2021, and July 19, 2021 the Department of Homeland of Security designated TPS for Venezuela, Haiti, Burma, and Somalia respectively for 18 months.  Here are the details and registration periods to apply:

Temporary Protected Status Designated Country: Haiti 
 

TPS Continues Through: As long as preliminary injunctions ordered by Courts in Ramos, et al v. Nielsen, et al., No. 18-cv-01554 (N.D. Cal. Oct. 3, 2018) and Saget, et al. v. Trump, et al., No. 18-cv-01599 (E.D.N.Y. Apr. 11, 2019), remain in effect.
