Advance Parole Travel Alert

If you are not a lawful permanent resident or U.S. Citizen and have EVER been present in the United States without lawful status, please contact our office BEFORE traveling internationally even if you have permission to travel from the U.S. government. A new court case decision that came out today indicates that when an individual travels on advance parole, it constitutes a departure and therefore may trigger unlawful presence bars for those who have accumulated unlawful presence. If you have no unlawful presence, this case does not impact you or your ability to travel internationally on advance parole
